Wendy Hayko is an emerging fiction author. She won the 2017 WCDR Ann Weisgarber Scholarship for her short story Killer Vacation. Wendy writes from wherever she is, home in Vancouver or on the road with her dog, parrot and cat.

This site is the online home of Wendy Hayko, writer, emergency management expert, politician, and mother of two amazing adult children.

Contained on these pages are my thoughts, opinions and stories about the world I find while wandering (in person and online), the world as I wish it would be and some interesting stories about places I entirely made up and hope never to have to survive in.

My thoughts are diverse, disconnected and, sometimes, somewhat odd.
